Udaipur: The Consumer Protection Organization honored K.K. Gupta, Coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) under the Rajasthan Government and former Brand Ambassador, on his appointment as a member of the organization's Advisory Board. The ceremony, led by National President Dr. Rajashree Gandhi, included the presentation of a shawl, garland, and a portrait of Swami Vivekananda, as a gesture of respect for Gupta’s contributions and spirit of service. Dr. Gandhi expressed her happiness at Gupta's appointment and expressed hope that his guidance would further strengthen the organization.
On this momentous occasion, National Coordinator Shirish Nath Mathur, State District President Rishi Sukhwal, District Secretary Uttam Vijayvargiya, District Convener Ashok, and Women’s Cell President Alpana Bohra were also present.
During the program, several important consumer protection issues were discussed. Currently, consumers are facing problems like adulteration in food products, online fraud, and OTP banking scams. Many consumers fall victim to these scams because they are unaware of their rights. The organization decided to launch an extensive awareness campaign to address these challenges, with a focus on educating children and youth.
Dr. Gandhi informed that the organization will now organize special awareness programs in schools and colleges to inform the younger generation about consumer rights and ways to avoid fraud.
K.K. Gupta appreciated this initiative aimed at protecting consumer interests and assured the organization of his full support and collaboration.
National Coordinator Shirish Nath Mathur expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success, stating that with Gupta’s guidance, the organization would gain new direction, and awareness about consumer rights would increase in society.
