 Udaipur Dominates Super League, Eases Path to Semifinals

Udaipur  – During the ongoing 68th State-Level School Hockey Championship for under-19 boys at PM Shri Rajkiya Fateh Higher Secondary School, Surajpol, Udaipur has made significant strides in the Super League. Today, on the fourth day of the competition, seven matches were scheduled at the international Astroturf hockey ground. However, the last match could not be played due to rain and will be rescheduled for tomorrow.

According to co-media in-charge Gopal Mehta Menaria, Udaipur convincingly defeated Phalodi 5-0 and Ajmer 2-0, simplifying their path to the semifinals. The remaining Super League matches and their results on Tuesday will determine which teams advance to the semifinals based on points.

Chetan Paneri, the coordinator of the tournament and principal of Fateh School, shared that former head of the Girva Panchayat Samiti, Takht Singh Shaktawat, visited the sports village today. He interacted with players from Shahpura and Bikaner, extending his best wishes for their success. Coach Pannalal Joshi noted that Shaktawat enjoyed the matches and stayed for an hour at the venue.

Gopal Singh Asoliya from the media committee reported that the school family welcomed Shaktawat with a traditional scarf and invited him to the closing ceremony on October 10.

Dr. Dharmendra Singh Shaktawat, co-secretary of the tournament, mentioned that in the morning Super League matches, Alwar defeated Ajmer 2-1, Udaipur beat Phalodi 5-0, Bikaner won against Kekri 2-1, and Shahpura triumphed over Sirohi 2-0. In the evening matches, Alwar won 3-1 against Phalodi, Udaipur claimed victory over Ajmer 2-0, and Shahpura defeated Bikaner 1-0, earning crucial points for their teams. Unfortunately, the match between Sirohi and Kekri could not take place due to rain and will be held along with the remaining Super League matches on Tuesday.
