Monthly Meeting of District Water and Sanitation Mission Held

Udaipur. A monthly meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal at the mini auditorium of the Collectorate. During the meeting, the District Collector emphasized the need to resume any halted projects under the Water Life Mission without delay. He directed that contractors should be blacklisted if necessary and that notices should be issued to those who are not meeting expected progress, with appropriate actions taken as per regulations. He stressed that departmental officials should avoid negligence to prevent delays in project completion.

Collector Poswal reviewed ongoing projects on a block-wise basis and instructed that they be completed within the designated timelines.

During the meeting, Lalit Kumar Nagauri, Executive Engineer of the PHED, provided an update on the physical progress of the Water Life Mission in the district, stating that approvals have been issued for nearly all villages, with work orders released for 1,076 villages. Currently, certification for every household for water supply has been completed in 55 villages, and on October 2, certification will be conducted through village assemblies for all 100% beneficiary villages. Officials from both the subdivision and district levels of the PHED department were present at the meeting.
