Tribal Advisory Council Meetings to be Held Every 3 Months - Tribal Regional Development Minister

Jaipur-Udaipur: Tribal Regional Development Minister Babulal Kharaadi assured the assembly on Wednesday that the state government will ensure the Tribal Advisory Council meets every three months. He noted that the first meeting of this year was held on July 30, 2024.

During the question hour, Kharaadi responded to supplementary questions from members regarding this matter. He mentioned that during the previous government's tenure, the Tribal Advisory Council, formed in 2019, convened only once.

In response to MLA Umesh Meena's primary written question, the Minister informed the assembly that the Tribal Advisory Council has been reconstituted four times since 2019. He presented details of the currently appointed members to the house.

Kharaadi explained that the council's meetings are generally scheduled every quarter, with the date, time, and place determined by the chairperson. Since 2019, a single meeting was held on February 9, 2021, under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. He provided the assembly with the details of the attendees and the proceedings of that meeting.

The Minister also mentioned that 11 proposals were approved in that meeting, with details submitted to the assembly. The proceedings, including these proposals, were sent to the Secretary of Governance, the Governor's Secretariat, Raj Bhavan Jaipur, and the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
