Grand Welcome and Honor for Medal Winners at the Asian Women's Lacrosse Competition 2024

Udaipur:  Athletes from Udaipur who were part of the Indian team, runners-up at the Senior Women's Asian Lacrosse Competition held in Uzbekistan, received a grand welcome and honor upon their arrival in their home district, Udaipur. The celebratory event took place at various locations including the railway station, Titardi, Government Meera Girls College Hostel, Loyra, Chikalwas, and Dhar, featuring drumbeats, fireworks, and traditional garlands.

Team captain Sunita Meena, Jhula Kumari Gurjar, Dali Gameti, Vishakha Meghwal, Meera Douja, Hemlata Dangi, and Deepika Bamaniya, along with coach Neeraj Batra, were warmly received amid enthusiastic celebrations. The event was attended by sports enthusiasts, players, family members, officials from various sports, political and social organizations.

On this occasion, gratitude was expressed to the Lacrosse Association of India's Secretary General Tauseef Ahmad Lari, Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari Singh, Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Tribal Minister Babulal Kharadi, Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Kumar Bhatt, Tribal Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, Udaipur Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal, Bhopal Singh Rana, and Sports Officer Ajit Jain for their encouragement and support.
