Physical and Mental Concentration through Yoga - Poswal

Udaipur: India’s sages and seers introduced yoga to the world. Over time, India neglected this invaluable knowledge, reducing it to mere academic discussion. However, the truth is that yoga possesses the power to eradicate incurable diseases from their roots when practiced under the guidance of expert yoga instructors. This was emphasized by yoga teacher Shrivardhan during the inauguration of a three-day yoga camp organized by the Indian Culture Promotion Trust at Vidya Niketan, Sector 4.

The chief guest at the inauguration session, Udaipur District Collector Arvind Poswal, lit the ceremonial lamp and actively participated in the full yoga session. On this occasion, Poswal highlighted the importance of yoga in life, stating that yoga enhances physical and mental concentration. In today’s lifestyle, yoga is a necessity. Through regular practice, individuals can gain control over their mind and body. Yoga signifies unity, the oneness of mind and body, which is essential in the current situation.

Pushpdeep Prajapat led the participants through subtle yogic practices. Bharat Menaria and Meenu Rao demonstrated various yoga postures on stage, while other teachers including Prabhat Ameta, Umesh Shrimali, and Dhara Gupta were also present.

Hemendra Shrimali, President of the Trust, provided details about the three-day yoga camp. He mentioned that the camp not only offers training in regular yoga postures but also includes yoga therapy and mudra therapy for various ailments. Specific yoga and mudra practices will be taught for different diseases, enabling participants to practice them regularly at home. Additionally, the camp will cover subtle yoga and yoga nidra.

Trust Secretary Pankaj Paliwal noted that yoga and mudra practices have proven effective for heart diseases, blockages, diabetes, menstruation issues, thyroid problems, asthma, spondylitis, and slipped discs. Many individuals suffering from these conditions have benefited from yoga and have attested to its effectiveness. In some cases, the need for surgery was eliminated. Paliwal highlighted the significance of yoga nidra in managing stress and depression.
