In adherence to the directives of Udaipur District Legal Services Authority Chairman, the administrative authorities, including Inspector General (IG) and the District Collector, actively support the ongoing drug awareness campaign aimed at preventing the misuse of narcotics and addictive medications. The campaign received full cooperation from the district administration.
Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Kuldeep Sharma, highlighted that Police Inspector General Ajay Pal Lamba, District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal, TAD (Technical Assistant to the District) Commissioner Tarachand Meena, and Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Administration Shaillesh Surana inaugurated the campaign by unveiling posters. They collectively urged the younger generation to actively participate and make the campaign a success.
Sharma further explained that the campaign involves educating school and college students about the adverse effects of substance abuse, encouraging them to quit. As part of this initiative, law interns from Mohanlal Sukhadia University Law College conducted awareness sessions in various schools, including Sant Teresa School, Abhinav Nagori Government Senior Secondary School, Rajkiya Ucch Madhyamik Vidyalaya Sukher, Rajkiya Ucch Madhyamik Vidyalaya Meharo Ka Guda, and Guru Govind Singh School, Devli.
The health service institute's team also disseminated awareness messages to students. Additionally, mobile vans are traversing the district, spreading messages about staying away from drugs and their harmful consequences. The collaborative efforts aim to create a drug-free and aware community in the Udaipur region.
