District Collector Inspects Sports Village

Udaipur : District Collector Namit Mehta visited Maharana Pratap Sports Village in Chitrakoot Nagar on Monday evening. He emphasized that the development of sports in the district is a priority and instructed officials to complete the ongoing projects at the Sports Village promptly. He also directed that sports facilities should be developed based on the interests of children and youth.

Inspection of Multipurpose Hall
Upon arriving at the Sports Village, the District Collector first inspected the under-construction multipurpose hall. He instructed the officials to ensure its timely completion and directed the contractor to finish the work within the stipulated period. During the visit, District Sports Officer Mahesh Paliwal provided an overview of the available sports facilities.

Development on a Self-Sustainable Model
The District Collector suggested that the Sports Village should be developed on a self-sustainable model to avoid financial constraints in its management. While inspecting the under-construction synthetic running track, he instructed that essential amenities, including toilets, be provided nearby, along with necessary shading structures.

Discussion at the Swimming Complex
Later, the District Collector visited the swimming complex, where he interacted with various sports coaches and sought suggestions for the further development of the Sports Village. UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, along with officials from the sports department, UDA, and RSRDC, was also present during the visit.
