This Honor Ceremony Rises Above Political Boundaries – Raghuveer Meena
Udaipur, February 9: The 11th Regional Tribal Talent Honor and All-Community Teacher Glory Ceremony was organized on Sunday at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Mohanlal Sukhadia University campus. The event was graced by Chief Guest MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat and was presided over by former MP Raghuveer Singh Meena.
Institute President Prabhulal Dendor welcomed all the guests and highlighted the institute’s activities, urging everyone to support the ongoing efforts. Vice President C.B. Meena introduced the audience to the life of Gondwana’s Queen Durgavati, who is a symbol of tribal pride. General Secretary Dr. Shankar Bamniya elaborated on the key activities undertaken by the institute and the future plans for building a facility on the allocated land to provide coaching services.
Addressing the gathering, MP Dr. Rawat stated that talent is the heritage of a nation and society, and nurturing it is a collective responsibility. He emphasized that the tribal community must take inspiration from its historical heroes and advance while preserving its socio-cultural heritage. He encouraged the youth to focus on skill development and career growth while keeping national and social interests paramount.
Presiding over the event, institute founder Raghuveer Singh Meena said that the true significance of such honor ceremonies lies in rising above political boundaries and uniting on a common platform. He highlighted that this ceremony has been held since 2011 without any political influence, serving as a great example.
Former MP Arjunlal Meena urged the community to participate in such programs and contribute to bringing the society into the mainstream.
In this talent recognition ceremony, 60 teachers from remote rural areas of Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Sirohi, Salumber, and Chittorgarh districts were honored with the Teacher Glory Award for their contributions. Additionally, 581 tribal talents were recognized.
The Shri Mangarh Dham Glory Award, the highest individual honor, was presented to Nilesh Charpota from Banswara. He has completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Polymers) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, and is now an Assistant Professor at the same university.
Eighteen individuals who received gold medals in university exams or earned Ph.D. degrees were honored with the Adi Kavi Valmiki Glory Award.
Eighty-three individuals selected for prestigious state and national services received the Mewar Veer Rana Punja Bhil Talent Award.
A total of 198 individuals who secured admission to reputed institutions in medicine, management, and engineering were awarded the Veer Balak Eklavya Talent Award.
One hundred seventy-one students who scored more than 75% in secondary board exams were given the Shaheed Veer Bala Kali Bai Talent Award.
Fifty-five social activists working across various districts were honored with the Shaheed Nanakji Bhil Social Leadership Award.
Athletes who participated internationally and won medals in prestigious national and state-level sports competitions were recognized with the Padma Shri Dhanurdhar Shri Limbaram Sports Excellence Award.
During the event, the guests unveiled the institute’s annual souvenir Udaan – Ek Prerna. The highlight of the event was 13-year-old cricket player Sushila Meena. A cultural program was also organized, and the institute showcased the documentary film Gaurav Ki Rahein for career counseling.
The event saw participation from notable dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, former MP Arjunlal Meena, former IG T.C. Damor, retired IAS Tarachand Meena, former head Kanhaiyalal Meena, Vice President C.B. Meena, General Secretary Dr. Shankar Bamniya, Treasurer Niranjan Daranga, event coordinator Bharat Parmar, and representatives from the Sindhi and Kshatriya communities, including Harish Rajani and Chandragupt Singh Chauhan. Over 1,200 participants, including MLAs, former MPs, social workers, and distinguished guests, attended the ceremony.
