Udaipur: The Second Sub-Junior Boys, Girls, and Senior Men’s, Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, organized by the Lacrosse Federation of India and Rajasthan Lacrosse Association, was inaugurated on Friday at Maharana Pratap Sports Complex. In thrilling matches, Rajasthan won both of their league games and advanced to the pre-quarter finals.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chief Guest, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, Special Guests Dr. Ganga Dheria (Vice President, Indian Lacrosse Federation) and Imran Lari, and the ceremony was chaired by Ashok Parnami, President of Rajasthan Lacrosse Association.
According to Neeraj Batra, Secretary of Udaipur Lacrosse Association, the opening match in the men’s category was played between the host team, Rajasthan, and the previous runner-up, Puducherry. Rajasthan put up an outstanding performance, defeating Puducherry 10-1. Later, Rajasthan defeated Uttarakhand in the evening match, securing a place in the pre-quarter finals. The standout players from Rajasthan included Mohan Lal Gameti, Khumar Ram Gameti, Dayashankar Gameti, Pranay Tripathi, Rajesh Gameti, and Narayan Lal Gameti.
Additionally, in other league matches played today, Chhattisgarh defeated Karnataka, Gujarat beat Odisha, Andhra Pradesh triumphed over Madhya Pradesh, Haryana won against Delhi, Maharashtra defeated Bihar, Kerala overcame Uttar Pradesh, Haryana defeated Assam, Chhattisgarh triumphed over Telangana, and Uttarakhand defeated Puducherry.
