Udaipur, 4th January. As part of the Road Safety Month, the Transport and Road Safety Department launched a special campaign on Saturday to raise awareness among the public about traffic rules. At Court Circle, motorists were gifted rose flowers to encourage the use of helmets and seat belts.
District Transport Officer Atul Sharma explained that the campaign began with awareness efforts to educate people. Traffic Sub-Inspector Ashok Anjana introduced an innovation by temporarily stopping those who violated traffic rules and administering a road safety pledge on the spot. Regional Transport Officer Nami Chand Parikh emphasized the need to raise public awareness to reduce road accident rates. He mentioned that more such awareness campaigns will be organized in the coming days. Narayan Chaudhary of the Aadhar Foundation stated that the initiative was well appreciated by many.
