###Achal to Lead Indian Team in World Microlight Championship*

Udaipur: Young entrepreneur and sports pilot Achal Agarwal from Udaipur will be a part of the Indian team in the World Microlight Championship. This marks the first time an Indian team will participate in the F.A.I. World Microlight Championship, set to take place from July 27 to August 3 at Deenethorpe Airfield in the United Kingdom.

Achal Agarwal, a sports pilot and entrepreneur from Udaipur, will be part of the Indian team in this championship, where teams from various countries will compete. A total of 66 microlight aircraft will take flight in the competition. Pilot Achal Agarwal and his coach, Captain Shiv Yadav, will represent India. Microlight aircraft, weighing less than 500 kilograms, can be single or double-seaters. Achal Agarwal will be flying an open-cockpit microlight plane in the weight-shift control category.

The championship will include various navigation, precision, and fuel economy tasks, with medals awarded to the best pilots in each task. Pilots will navigate tasks up to 150 km using only paper maps, without GPS or other navigation devices. They will have to fly their aircraft to different locations marked on the map, aiming to complete the tasks in the least time and with minimal fuel. There will also be precision tasks like spot landings, where pilots must land on a marked spot on the runway.

Deenethorpe Airfield, the historic site for this championship, was a significant airfield for the British Airforce during World War II. Notably, Central Minister Kirtivardhan Singh was also part of the team but is unable to participate due to his ministerial duties.
