Former Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir Honored

Udaipur, March 28 – Former Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir and Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr. Karan Singh was presented with a Nathdwara-style "Shreenath Ji" Pichwai painting by Suraj Soni and Siddharth Soni, directors of the renowned art gallery "Chitralay" in Udaipur. The presentation took place at the Lakshmi Vilas Palace on Friday.

Vice Chancellor of Vidyapeeth University, Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, also gifted a book featuring paintings by the city’s artist Om Prakash Soni from Bijolia. Upon viewing the book, Dr. Karan Singh expressed his admiration for the artwork, comparing it to the renowned paintings of Raja Ravi Varma. He shared his passion for art and extended an invitation to Soni to visit his residence and showcase his collection of paintings.
