Udaipur: In celebration of Rajasthan Day, a series of events have been organized throughout the state under the weekly festival, providing various communities with benefits through government schemes. On Thursday, the Antyodaya Welfare Ceremony was held at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Town Hall, Udaipur, as part of these celebrations.
Addressing the ceremony as a special guest, Udaipur Rural MLA Phoolsingh Meena emphasized that the core philosophy of Antyodaya is the upliftment of the most marginalized section of society. He highlighted that the Swamitva Yojana (property rights scheme) offers the poorest of society the chance to connect with the mainstream. He urged the public to take advantage of government schemes and called on departmental officials to ensure that benefits reach every eligible person.
During the event, an LED screen broadcasted the state-level program held in Bharatpur, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma. Key dignitaries attending included Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, District Collector Namit Mehta, District Panchayat CEO Riya Dabi, Watershed SE Atul Jain, former Deputy Mayor Paras Singvi, social worker Bhawar Singh Panwar, and various departmental officials and beneficiaries from across the district.
The ceremony distributed property pattas (titles) to 200 beneficiaries under the Swamitva Scheme, with distribution taking place across various gram panchayat headquarters. Beneficiaries from the Chief Minister’s Kanyadan Yojana, such as Bhagwati Devi and Mohani Meena, were also honored. Additionally, under the joint assistance scheme, students from Pragya Chaksu Blind School, including Laxman Rawat, Vinay Sen, Dilip Gameti, Bharat Kumar Sevak, and Mohammad Faizan, received smart cane devices. All beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the state government.
