Youth Parliament 2025: Presentations on 'One Nation, One Election'

Udaipur: The "One Nation, One Election" program for the Developed India Youth Parliament 2025 was inaugurated on Thursday at Government Meera Girls College. The event, chaired by Principal Prof. Deepak Maheshwari, invited youth participants to present their views on the concept of "One Nation, One Election" in 3 minutes. Out of 704 participants, 150 were selected for the physical round.

During the competition, participants shared their insights on how the concept could contribute to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. They discussed the benefits, drawbacks, and political, economic, and practical aspects of conducting simultaneous elections in India.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the event is being organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Youth Centre. The top 10 winners of the competition will be given an opportunity to present their ideas at the state level in the Legislative Assembly.

The panel of judges included Prof. Vinod Yadav, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Engineering, retired IAS officer Jitendra Upadhyay, social worker Satyanarayan Maheshwari, Finance Controller of Maharana Pratap University Darshana Gupta, and social worker Rajni Dangi. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sunita Arya (NSS Officer), Shubham Purbiya, Dr. Kiren Meena, and Dr. Ritu Parmar, with the event's proceedings managed by Dr. Anju Beniwal and Mansa Parsai. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shubham Purbiya.
