Udaipur: In a statement regarding the second budget to be presented by Rajasthan’s "Parchi Government" tomorrow, **Kachru Lal Choudhary**, President of Udaipur Dehat District Congress, said that the "Parchi Government," which came to power with the slogan of a double-engine government, should first reduce VAT on petrol and diesel to provide relief to the people. Additionally, a separate budget should be allocated for the conservation of Udaipur's lakes, as preserving and safeguarding these lakes is essential for boosting tourism in the city. He also emphasized the need for the announcement of local body elections to increase the participation of elected representatives at the village and ward levels.
**Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit**, spokesperson of Udaipur Dehat District Congress, stated that the "Parchi Government" should not cancel the welfare schemes initiated by the previous sensitive Congress government. It should also clarify its stance on the OPS (Old Pension Scheme) for government employees. Furthermore, the public should be reassured that the government will not terminate people-friendly schemes like providing 100 free units of electricity per month. He urged the "Parchi Government" to announce the eighth pay commission for Rajasthan's government employees, in line with the central government’s plans.
