Udaipur: The Minister of Water Resources of the state, Mr. Sureshchandra Rawat, visited Udaipur on Wednesday. During his visit, he chaired a meeting with departmental officials at the Circuit House to review the preparations for the upcoming National Conference on Water Vision-2047, scheduled to be held in Udaipur on 18th and 19th February. Additionally, he took stock of the progress on the Chief Minister’s budget announcements and provided necessary guidelines.
On the morning of his Udaipur visit, Minister Rawat held a meeting with officials, including Additional Chief Engineer Rishabh Jain, Superintending Engineer Manoj Jain, and other officers. During the meeting, the Cabinet Minister took detailed information regarding the preparations for the National Conference on Water Vision-2047 in Udaipur. He instructed officials to work in coordination to ensure that the event is organized smoothly and according to the established protocols. The conference will be attended by central ministers, chief ministers of various states, water resources ministers, and other dignitaries. He emphasized that arrangements for the arrival, accommodation, and conference of honored guests should be exemplary to maintain the dignity of the event and enhance the reputation of Udaipur and the state.
Minister Rawat also conducted a thorough review of the progress on the budget announcements and other departmental projects, providing necessary directions to speed up progress. He specifically instructed to accelerate the work on the Devasa project and ensure the forest department returns the forest land so the project can begin promptly. He directed the completion of the tendering process for the Bagoliya Feeder and Khari Feeder and to start the work at the earliest. Additionally, he reviewed other ongoing construction works in the Udaipur division and instructed that high-quality work be ensured.
