Congress Protests Against Modi Government Over Inhumane Treatment of Indian Citizens Deported from the US

Udaipur: In response to the inhumane deportation of Indian citizens from the United States, the Udaipur City and Udaipur Rural District Congress Committees, under the direction of the Pradesh Congress Committee, organized a joint protest against the Modi government.

Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, Spokesperson for Udaipur Rural District Congress, explained that in the wake of the sudden and unjust deportation of Indian migrants by the US government, it is essential for everyone to raise their voices against these serious injustices. Despite these grave events, the Modi government remains indifferent and helpless. Following this, a collective demand for humane treatment and policy reform was raised through a protest against the Modi government.

After the protest, Udaipur Rural District Congress President, Kachru Lal Choudhary, delivered a statement saying, “Today, the entire country is asking the Modi government why they remain silent about such treatment of their own citizens, after spending ₹100 crores to say 'Namaste Trump'. Should the Modi government remain silent when its own citizens face such mistreatment? This silence reflects their lack of courage and commitment to the people of India. The Modi government must stop constantly blaming Congress and criticizing the shortcomings of Congress-led governments, and instead engage in strong discussions with the US regarding this incident. The Congress Party will continue to fight for the rights and dignity of every citizen, both in Parliament and on the streets."

Udaipur City District Congress President, Fateh Singh Rathod, expressed his concern, saying, “It is shameful that after Indian citizens were subjected to such mistreatment—handcuffed for 40 hours and shackled—while being sent back to India, the Modi government remains silent. This shows the government's failure to protect the dignity and rights of our citizens on the global stage. The Modi government’s foreign policy has failed. Today, the damage done to the dignity and honor of our citizens on the global level is directly attributable to the Modi government. The government must apologize to the nation for this."

The protest was attended by Udaipur Rural District Congress President Kachru Lal Choudhary, Udaipur City District Congress President Fateh Singh Rathod, PCC Vice President Suresh Shrimali, PCC General Secretary Pankaj Sharma, Udaipur City District Congress Organization Secretary Arun Tank, Senior Leader Sharafat Khan, Udaipur Rural District Congress Spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, Udaipur City District Congress Vice President Dalpat Singh Chundawat, Dr. Divyani Katara, Block President Someshwar Meena, Ajay Singh, Former Councilor Shankar Chandel, Gaurav Pratap Singh, Udaipur City District Congress Spokesperson Shiv Shankar Menaria, Pankaj Paliwal, Lakshmi Lal Soni, Amit Srivastava, Kamlesh Patel, Lokesh Meena, Lwang Murdia, Rakesh Khekhawat, Rituraj Mishra, Dharmesh Malviya, Amit Suhalka, Mahesh Dhanawat, Girdhari Lal Sharma, Shahzad Khan, Satyanarayan Tank, Mustafa Sheikh, Om Dangi, Kishan Singh Chundawat, Mahendra Damor, Ganesh Chand Sharma, Sanjay Mandwani, and many other officials and Congress workers.
