Modi Government Should Provide Relief to the Middle Class by Changing Income Tax Slabs - Kachru Lal Choudhary

Udaipur: The Udaipur Rural District Congress Committee has made several demands for relief to the common public in response to the first full budget of the Modi Government’s third term.

Udaipur Rural District Congress President Kachru Lal Choudhary stated that the middle class is currently feeling the most burdened in the country. People working in both the government and private sectors who pay taxes to the central government are taxed everywhere. Therefore, the Udaipur Rural District Congress Committee demands that the Modi government revise the income tax slabs and make income up to ₹10 lakh tax-free so that the middle class can feel relieved. Furthermore, the committee also demands that the central government simplify the complicated GST process and make it more accessible to traders. The business class plays a crucial role in the country's economy, and if they have to struggle with a complex GST system, it will impact their business, which will directly affect the country's economy. Hence, the central government should simplify the GST system to provide relief to traders.

Udaipur Rural District Congress spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit made several demands regarding the Modi Government’s third term budget. He stated that the central government should reduce VAT on petrol and diesel, bringing down the prices and should also direct states where VAT is high on these products to lower the rates. This will provide relief to the public, as despite the decrease in crude oil prices, the Modi government has been collecting high VAT on petrol and diesel for several years, causing the public to pay more for these fuels. Additionally, Dr. Rajpurohit emphasized the need to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers to honor them. The country's farmers are essential in boosting the economy, and their long-standing demand for an increase in MSP should be addressed by the central government in this budget to provide them relief and respect.
