Cultural Grandeur and National Pride Shine in Air, Land, and Water; Republic Day Spirit Abounds

Udaipur: The two-day state-level Republic Day celebrations in Udaipur, marking the 76th Republic Day, kicked off on Saturday with enthusiasm, excitement, and a sense of national pride. On the evening of the Republic Day eve, a grand cultural program was held at Fatehsagar’s promenade in the esteemed presence of Honorable Governor Mr. Haribhau Bagde and Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma. The event was marked by school children’s performances, a drone show, military weapons exhibition, and a flower exhibition, spreading patriotism and cultural splendor in air, land, and water. Udaipur residents showed immense enthusiasm to witness this unique event in the city. The promenade near Fatehsagar Lake echoed with slogans of "Vande Mataram," "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," and "Rajasthan Zindabad." 

The event began with a Guard of Honor presented by the students of Scholars Area School to the Governor and Chief Minister upon their arrival at the Fatehsagar promenade, accompanied by the Police Band.

**Patriotic Performances:**  
The cultural evening began with a prayer dedicated to the divine, presented by the students of St. Anthony Senior Secondary School, Sector-4. This was followed by a performance by the prison band of Central Jail, which presented songs like "Aage Bhor Suhani" and "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," along with traditional tunes like "Kesariya Baalma Padharo Ne Mewar." The team from Scholars Arena Senior Secondary School performed a group dance themed around the Constitution of India. Rock Wooders High School conveyed the message of women empowerment through a group dance, while Seedling Modern Public School’s team presented a patriotic dance-drama and showcased the government’s welfare schemes through song and dance. The students of St. Paul Senior Secondary School performed various yoga poses themed around the pride of Mewar and Maharana Pratap, captivating the audience. The event concluded with a mesmerizing classical music performance by the MMPS group. 

Earlier, students from Pragya Chaksu Secondary Blind School presented a group song, and students from Central Public School, Mahatma Gandhi Government School in Dhanmandi, and Delhi Public School performed group dances. Students from St. Anthony Senior Secondary School, Goverdhan Vilas, presented a group dance on the theme of voting, while girls from Veer Bala Kalibai Government Tribal Girls Hostel showcased folk dance performances, reflecting local culture.

**Celebrating National Pride and Mewar’s Glory:**  
The highlight of the program was the breathtaking drone show from Motimagri, which displayed spectacular visuals using hundreds of colorful lights. The drone show presented patriotic and nationalistic messages in the sky, including themes like “Welcome Udaipur,” “Pannadhay’s Sacrifice,” “Mewar’s Deities – Shri Eklingnath and Shri Nathji,” “Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap,” “Chittorgarh’s Victory Pillar,” “Mahatma Gandhi,” “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,” “Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” and “Rising Rajasthan Summit.” The audience responded with applause and cheers, chanting slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Maharana Pratap Ki Jai." The grand fireworks display from Nehru Park also added to the excitement.

**Military Exhibition Ignites Patriotism:**  
A military weapons exhibition organized by the Indian Army at Fatehsagar’s promenade filled the public with patriotism and enthusiasm. The exhibition featured a range of military hardware, including the Bhishma tank, 130mm artillery guns, AK-47 rifles, and more. The Governor and Chief Minister took a tour of the exhibition.

**Flower Show Inauguration:**  
A flower exhibition was also inaugurated at Fatehsagar’s promenade in celebration of Republic Day, running from January 25 to 31. The Governor and Chief Minister launched the exhibition, where dozens of floral species were displayed in beautiful arrangements. The exhibition also showcased products created by women under the "Sakhi" project, a major initiative by Hindustan Zinc.

The event was attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Sudhansh Pant, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Chunnilal Garasia, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, City MLA Mr. Tarachand Jain, Rural MLA Mr. Phoolsingh Meena, social worker Mr. Ravindra Shrimali, Additional Chief Secretaries Mr. Shikhar Agarwal and Mr. Anand Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani, IG Mr. Rajesh Meena, District Collector Mr. Arvind Poswal, SP Mr. Yogesh Goyal, and a large number of public representatives, officials, and residents.
