Udaipur: The free courses under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) were launched today at UCCI.
Honorable General Secretary Dr. Pawan Telesara shared the details, informing that the launch ceremony was graced by Shri B. H. Bapna, Patron of UCCI and Chairman & Managing Director of Mewar-Harmony Group. During the inaugural session, Shri B. H. Bapna welcomed the participants of the first batch of the training program at the PMKVY Skill Development Center. He encouraged the trainees and emphasized that UCCI is operating the Vocational Training Center (VTC) to provide skill training to the youth of Udaipur division, thereby creating job opportunities and supplying industries with skilled manpower.
Shri Hamsraj Choudhary, Chairman of the VTC and former President of UCCI, stated that UCCI’s Vocational Training Center has been officially recognized by the central government as a PMKVY Skill Development Center. Participants who successfully complete their training will be awarded a government certificate, and UCCI member industries will provide employment opportunities to them.
Mr. Yash Sharma, Coordinator of the Vocational Training Center, explained that the duration of these courses would be approximately two to three months. The courses would include both theoretical and practical training, along with 15 days of on-the-job training. He mentioned that the training programs offered by UCCI’s Skill Development Center would cover courses in Mining Mate, Mining Electrician, Food and Beverage Service, Fast Food Service, and Solar Panel Installation. Qualified trainers will deliver the courses, and free training has already begun for Mining Mate and Mining Electrician courses, while registration for other trades is ongoing.
Senior Vice President Shri Manish Galundia and Dr. Ashok Jethawat, along with other members, were also present at the event.
