Government Committed to Smooth Transportation

The state government has approved ₹650.11 crore for 1,265 road construction projects as part of its budget announcement, demonstrating its commitment to facilitating easy transportation for the public. Additionally, under disaster management, the state has greenlit district-wise proposals for repairing roads and bridges damaged by heavy rains.

**Approval of ₹55.90 Crore for Udaipur District**

For Udaipur district, a total of ₹55.90 crore has been approved for various projects through the Public Works Department. This includes ₹22.3 million for 16 projects in the Gogunda area under the city division and ₹536.72 million for 101 projects in the Udaipur Rural, Kherwada, Jhadol, and Gogunda assembly constituencies under the rural division.

**Disaster Management Fund Allocates ₹19 Crore for Udaipur**

In response to damage caused by excessive rainfall and flooding during the monsoon, the state disaster management department has approved a total of ₹19.79 crore for the immediate repair and restoration of 1,018 road projects and 35 bridge projects based on proposals received from the Udaipur District Collector.

According to Anil Garg, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, the approved funds include ₹28.94 million for 137 projects in Rishabhdev block, ₹11.14 million for 55 projects in Kherwada block, and ₹13.41 million for 56 projects in Naya Gaon block. Additional allocations include ₹29.03 million for 168 projects in Jhadol/Phalasia block and varying amounts for other blocks, totaling various sums for numerous projects throughout the district.

Similarly, proposals for the repair of damaged bridges have received funding, with ₹5.40 lakh allocated for nine projects in Naya Gaon block, ₹3.60 lakh for six projects in Lasaadiya block, and further amounts for other blocks, totaling ₹21 lakh for 35 projects.

This initiative reflects the government’s proactive approach to infrastructure development and disaster management in Udaipur.
