Inauguration of Vice-Chancellor's Trophy Sports Competition at MPUAT Bhilwara

The 20th Annual Sports Competition, named the Vice-Chancellor's Trophy, was inaugurated by Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. The event, organized jointly by the Central Association of Higher Education Employees and the Higher Education Employees Welfare Committee, featured spirited participation from teams across various disciplines.

Dr. Karnataka commenced the sports event with the oath-taking ceremony, emphasizing the role of sports in alleviating stress from the daily lives of employees and officers. He highlighted how engaging in sports enhances workplace efficiency and fosters camaraderie among colleagues.

During his address, Dr. Karnataka also showcased the achievements of MPUAT, including patents, new species, and advancements in research. He commended the activities of the College of Agriculture, Bhilwara Agriculture Research Center, Shahpura Agriculture Science Center, and Bhilwara Agriculture College.

The Chief Guest for the occasion, Rajnikant Sharma, President of the Central Association of Higher Education Employees, welcomed all guests and Narendra Kumar Mor, Central Minister, outlined the details of the two-day sports competition. Various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom, 100 meters, 400 meters race, shot put, and long jump were part of the competition.

Dr. C.M. Yadav, Senior Scientist and Chairman, applauded the teams and guests on behalf of Bhilwara Unit and stressed the significance of sports in physical, mental, and economic well-being. Dr. L.L. Panwar, Chairman of Bhilwara Agriculture College, discussed the achievements of the college during the presidential address.

The event also witnessed the release of two books, "Value Addition and Fiber Painting of Coarse Grains" and "Dairy and Food Technology" written by Dr. Prakash Panwar, Dr. Suchitra Dadhich, and Dr. Swati. Special guests Vinay Bhati, Financial Controller MPUAT Udaipur, and Dr. R.A. Kaushik, Director of Extension Education, were present at the book launch.

Eminent personalities like Dr. M.K. Mahla, Dr. Veerendra Nepal, Dr. S.D. Dhakad, Dr. Rajesh Jalwaniyan, Dr. K.C. Nagar, and Dr. H.L. Bugalia, along with NS Chauhan, Personal Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor, and Mahendra Singh Chundawat were among the dignitaries present at the event.

Dr. K.L. Jingar, Former Dean and Professor of Entomology, presented the progress report on deluxe kabaddi ground, volleyball, football, and basketball. Gopal Tepan, Head of Bhilwara Unit, along with Secretary Ajit Singh Rathore and Joint Secretary Kamal Kishore Suman, extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests. The program was anchored by Dr. Ramavatar and Dhanvada Man Singh Bhati, expressing gratitude for everyone's presence and participation in the event.
