Leave the Battle of Reforming Others; First Bring Improvement in Yourself - National Saint Shri Lalitprabhaji

Udaipur - An event featuring a lecture-discourse was held at the Agricultural Trade Building in front of the old Indian Oil Depot, Sector 11. National Saint Lalitprabh Sagar Maharaj emphasized that every individual, regardless of their field of work, can enrich their lives by maintaining humility, modesty in their behavior, speaking kindly and gently whenever they communicate, and keeping universal love in their hearts. Often, an individual's ego is overly sensitive, and even a minor criticism can lead to an outburst. Human beings primarily act with their agitated minds. Whenever someone speaks against you or criticizes you, maintain your composure and don't let their words affect you because what you don't accept stays with the other person.

During a lecture organized by the Ganna family on Sunday, Saint Lalitprabh addressed the audience. He said, "Keep your ego under control and refrain from reacting with anger when it arises. If you get angry on a Monday, consider it the first day of the week and do not react with anger. If anger arises on Tuesday, remember it is not the end of the world, and stay calm. On Wednesday, if anger strikes, do not escalate the situation; instead, stay peaceful. If you feel anger on Thursday, do not call it a war but maintain a peaceful attitude. On Friday, if you get angry, be thankful that it is not inauspicious and avoid getting angry. On Saturday, if anger takes over, know that Saturn is in control. Avoid anger altogether on this day. Finally, on Sunday, consider it the day of a 'holiday from anger' and remain content."

Saint Lalitprabh encouraged devotees to always remain peaceful. Even when you live close to someone, if you create distance in your mind, it agitates your mind. A person's anguished reactions are born from their agitated mind. Make it a mantra in your life that you will speak only when you can speak calmly. Lord Mahavir once said to Vishadhar, the serpent, a single word - "understand." That is, attain knowledge. When you live in anger, you will drown in the world, but when you live in enlightenment, you will advance towards the destination of liberation.

Saint Lalitprabh emphasized the importance of creating a harmonious environment in one's home. He explained that the way you treat guests in your home should be the same as how you treat your family. In case of any conflicts at home, apologize, as the first step of a resolution. He advised, "Always remember that making a mistake is in our nature, but not correcting it or not accepting it is a distortion of character. Apologizing is the culture of our Bharat (India). The result of forgiveness is always sweet. When a person bathes in the Ganges of forgiveness and love, his mind becomes pure. An individual's two minutes of anger cast a shadow over his entire career and relationships lasting for years. Always remember in life not to break someone's heart."

He urged people to focus on their speech and be mindful of how they communicate. He stated that one's language is the hallmark of their nobility. Speaking sweetly and benevolently can help mend broken relationships. Saint Lalitprabh advised, "Speak with love, and observe how your damaged relationships start to mend. Correct, how you speak, because speaking harshly is like nailing a wall, and though the nail may come out, it leaves a mark."

He continued, "In life, always remember never to break someone's heart." Saint Lalitprabh also shared the importance of greeting one's employees warmly during the Diwali season, not just with material items. He encouraged people to hug and show respect to them. He reminded the audience that the items given away today will be depleted in three months, but the respect shown by hugging will be remembered for a lifetime. In summary, he emphasized that individuals should always maintain composure, remember that being wrong is human, but not correcting a mistake is a distortion. Moreover, forgiveness and love are essential for one's spiritual purity, and the way you speak and communicate is a reflection of your character.
