More than 60 Petitions Addressed in MP Dr. Rawat’s Public Hearing

Udaipur – A public hearing was held on Friday at the District Council office by Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat, during which over 60 petitions were received from various institutions, organizations, and individuals. Delegations from both urban and rural areas approached the MP’s office with their demands.

Concerns ranged from the menace of stray dogs, water crises in specific areas, to poor sanitation systems. The hearing commenced at 10:30 AM and continued until around 1 PM. MP Dr. Rawat attentively listened to every delegation and took immediate steps to resolve issues that could be addressed on the spot by contacting the concerned officials.

Several individuals also submitted transfer requests during the hearing.

Memorandum Regarding Bhupal Cooperative Society:
A delegation from the Pujya Sindhi Panchayat Society, Pratapnagar, submitted a memorandum demanding directions be issued to UDA officials for allotment of housing leases for properties built on the 200-feet road in the Bhupal Cooperative Society, Pratapnagar. They stated that despite these houses existing for the past 75 years, no official leases have been issued.

Objection to Inclusion of Gogunda Panchayat in UDA Limits:
A memorandum was submitted by Sarpanch Sunder Devi and her delegation opposing the inclusion of a large portion of the Gogunda Panchayat Samiti area in the proposed expansion of the Udaipur Development Authority. They argued that since the area falls under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP), it should be retained in its current form.

Demand for Gud to be Made a Separate Gram Panchayat:
Villagers from Bamaniya and Gud submitted a memorandum requesting that Gud, currently part of the proposed reorganization of the Bamaniya Gram Panchayat, be designated as a separate Gram Panchayat due to its large population.

City Issues Highlighted in Memorandum:
Vice President of the Hotel Association, Yashvardhan Singh Ranawat, along with a delegation, drew attention to the issue of stray dogs, open garbage points in Saheli Nagar, outside Ambapol, and near the new bridge at Swaroop Sagar. They urged the Municipal Corporation to take strict action on these sanitation issues.
