*Rajasthan Foundation appoints Ramavtar Kila the President of Delhi Chapter*

New Delhi, Rajasthan Foundation has appointed social worker Ramavtar Kila the President of Delhi Chapter. R.A. Kila is a chartered accountant by profession but he is a very popular name in North India for his social service work.

It is noteworthy that during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit held in Jaipur in January last, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had announced the opening of new chapters of Rajasthan Foundation in the country and abroad, following which the state government has opened 14 new chapters of Rajasthan Foundation in the country and abroad to attract overseas Rajasthanis for investment and their cooperation in other matters related to the state. Apart from the National Capital Region Delhi in the country, new chapters are being opened in Bhubaneswar, Pune, Ranchi, Guwahati and abroad in Dubai, Unikh, Riyadh, Tokyo, Singapore, Doha, Melbourne, Nairobi (Kenya) and Kampala (Uganda). Besides, the existing 12 chapters in Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Surat, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Indore and chapters already open abroad in New York, London and Nepal are being activated.

President Ramavtar Kila, nominated for Delhi Chapter, is the patron of All India Regional Marwari Conference in the country's capital New Delhi and an active member and office bearer of organizations like Rajasthan Mitra Mandal, Rajasthan Mitra Parishad and Rajasthan Ratnakar. He has been the founder president of South Delhi branch of All India Marwari Yuva Manch. R A Kila has been the treasurer and founder trustee of Bhaurao Deoras Seva Nyas, trustee of Mathura Vrindavan Hasanand Gochar Bhoomi Trust, founder of Perfect Foundation and Perfect Institute of Research and Development, former president of All India Vaishya Mahasangh (South Delhi) and former president of Rotary Club of Delhi (Vasant Valley). He is also active in other organizations like Lions Club, Maheshwari Club, Ram Krishna Seva Sansthan etc.

R A Kila is also actively involved in the Akshay Seva Hospital Food Campaign being run since April 2017 under Bhaurao Deoras Seva Trust, in which more than 2500 people are provided free food at lunch time outside Delhi's major hospitals AIIMS, Safdarjung, Ram Manohar Lohia and Lady Harding. More than 60 lakh people have benefited from this facility so far. Along with this, under this trust, a 280-bed patient attendant facility is also being effectively managed under the AIIMS Vishram Sadan project in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. Where poor patients coming to Delhi for treatment are being provided free accommodation and others are provided accommodation at concessional rates. This facility was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018.

Similarly, a 250-bed “Power Grid Vishram Sadan” near IGIMS, Patna and a 300-bed Vishram Sadan near KGMC Lucknow have been started and a new 400-bed facility near AIIMS Rishikesh is also going to be completed soon.

Apart from running a hostel run under the aegis of Marwari Yuva Manch as part of the Super 30 program for students coming from Rajasthan, R A Kila has also been guiding hundreds of chartered accountants and MBA students for more than 25 years. He is also actively involved in various social works at the national level like blood donation, caliper camp, cleft lip, organ donation and polio eradication camp etc. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate in philanthropy and social welfare by a French university for his outstanding contribution to the society. Kila has also been awarded titles like Seva Ratna, Bihar Gaurav, Samaj Gaurav etc. for his contribution to the society.

Ram Avtar Kila, who has a humble nature, has a special connection with his home state Rajasthan, he proudly says on all forums that helping the countrymen is in the blood of every Marwari.
