At iCALL 2025, Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava was honored with the Best Public Librarian National Award - 2025. Recently, he secured the top position in the country in the popularity of artificial intelligence and the series of active librarians.
This prestigious award was presented during the "International Conference on Knowledge Organization in Academic Libraries" (iCALL 2025), organized at Deeksha Bhavan, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University Campus by the Library Professional Association, New Delhi, and the university administration.
Dr. Srivastava is currently serving as the Divisional Librarian at the Government Public Divisional Library, Kota, Rajasthan. The award was jointly presented by Prof. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava (Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar), Prof. Dr. Poonam Tandon (Vice Chancellor, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur), Dr. Salek Chand (General Secretary, Library Professional Association, New Delhi), Dr. Ramanand Malviya (President), Conference Director Anand Anjali Jha, and Conference Coordinator Dr. Vibhash Kumar Mishra, along with other dignitaries.
On this occasion, Dr. Anand Anjali Jha, General Secretary of the Library Professional Association, New Delhi, stated that more than 300 entries were received for various categories, and selections were made based on the "Bestest from the Best" principle.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava also chaired the first session on the inaugural day of the International Conference and presented research papers in the seventh and eighth technical sessions on the second day.
