Governor Shri Bagde Visits World Book Fair in Delhi

New Delhi: The Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribahu Bagde, visited the World Book Fair held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on Thursday. During his visit, he toured the stalls showcasing books from publishers across the country and purchased books of his choice. He praised the various activities organized by the National Book Trust (NBT) at the fair, expressing his admiration for the initiative. He stated that the World Book Fair is a significant event from the perspective of engaging readers with books.

Upon his arrival at the fair, Governor Shri Bagde was welcomed by the President of the National Book Trust, Prof. Milind Sudhakar Marathe, and Director Colonel Yuvraj Malik. The Governor was presented with a souvenir by NBT, which featured illustrations and descriptions of the original copy of the Indian Constitution.

At the World Book Fair, the Governor also visited pavilions dedicated to the theme *"India: Republic @75,"* Indian Knowledge Traditions, the New Education Policy, and the "Russia as the Focus Country" pavilion, showcasing books from Russia. He appreciated the efforts made by NBT to expand the fair in alignment with India's rich knowledge traditions.

NBT Director Shri Yuvraj Malik informed the Governor about the Trust's initiatives to engage with writers and encourage children to connect with books, as well as the ongoing efforts to promote book culture. He also provided information about the latest books published by the NBT. As a gesture of appreciation, Director Shri Malik presented the Governor with a set of books published by the National Book Trust.
