Jaipur, A two-day Augmented Wellness Support Seminar organized by the Sapta Shakti Command at Jaipur concluded successfully on 22 January 2025. The seminar focused on enhancing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of combatants and their families, offering valuable insights to foster healthier and more fulfilling lives.
Approximately 5000 serving personnel and their families participated both physically and online, benefiting greatly from the seminar’s wide array of topics aimed at improving wellness.
The seminar was attended by Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of South Western Command, and Lt Gen Nagendra Singh, Chetak Corps. Over the two days, the seminar emphasized a holistic approach to psychological wellness, incorporating mental health awareness, spiritual healing, and professional guidance. Mindfulness, meditation, and building inner strength were key themes aimed at personal development and perseverance in challenging times.
Eminent speakers included both senior retired military officers and domain experts from the civil sector. Notable military figures who contributed were Lt Gen JS Nain (Retd), former Army Commander Southern Command; Maj Gen VD Dogra (Retd), Ironman Triathlete and advocate of holistic fitness; Maj Gen Inderjeet Singh (Retd), motivational speaker; Maj Gen V Hariharan, ADG (D&V); and Lt Col Ankur Sabrawal, Psychologist and motivational speaker from DIPR. Their speeches enriched the seminar with insights into leadership, motivation, and innovative approaches to improving individual and organizational well-being.
The civil domain speakers included Spiritual Guru Shri Gauranga Das, motivational speaker Mr. Yogesh Chabria, and renowned researchers from institutions like DIPR and IIT, including Dr. Kamlesh Singh, Dr. Nidhi Maheshwari, Dr. Rajender Sokhi, and Dr. Kalpana. Their sessions covered topics such as attaining happiness through spirituality, overcoming personal challenges with a positive outlook, and improving marital harmony. Special educator Mrs. Dharini Singh also shared valuable insights on parenting children with special needs.
Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, in his closing remarks, thanked the speakers for their contributions and highlighted the critical importance of wellness in maintaining morale, operational readiness, and emotional resilience within the Armed Forces.
This seminar is part of Sapta Shakti Command’s ongoing efforts to promote wellness and emotional stability, aiming to integrate these principles into the Army’s ethos, thereby building a more resilient and cohesive force. The initiative is expected to enhance morale, preserve force readiness, and contribute to national security.
