Senior officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (1996 batch), Mr. Raju Bhutada, assumed charge as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ajmer today at the Divisional Office. He took over the position from the outgoing DRM, Mr. Alok Agarwal.
According to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. B.C.S. Choudhary, Mr. Bhutada has been appointed as DRM, Ajmer, by the Railway Board, transferring him from his previous role as Senior Professor (Transport Management) at the National Academy of Indian Railways, Vadodara. With over 25 years of extensive railway service, Mr. Bhutada brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Previously, he has served in various key capacities on the Ajmer Division, including Senior Divisional Safety Officer, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, and Senior Divisional Operations Manager. Within the North Western Railway zone, Mr. Bhutada has held important positions in Jodhpur and Bikaner, such as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) in Jodhpur, as well as Deputy Chief Commercial Manager for the North Western Railway.
Mr. Bhutada began his career in Indian Railways as Assistant Operations Manager with the Rajkot Division of Western Railway, later serving as Area Officer in Mehsana and Divisional Safety Officer in Bhavnagar. Subsequently, he worked as Divisional Commercial Manager in the Jodhpur Division.
Upon assuming charge as DRM, Mr. Bhutada outlined his priorities, which include enhancing safety, improving passenger amenities, streamlining operations, advancing infrastructure, and fostering innovation. An engineer by qualification, Mr. Bhutada holds a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
