Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India Delivered Professor Daulat Singh Kothari Memorial Oration

Jaipur: Prof Daulat Singh Kothari Memorial Oration function was organized at Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur on 19th Oct. 2024. 

The function was inaugurated by Prof Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt. of India; Dr. Sameer V. Kamat, Secretary DD R&D & Chairman, DRDO; Shri R V Hara Prasad, DS & DG (NS & M) & Director Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur; Dr Manu Korulla, DG (R&M) and Dr. Y Seenivas Rao, Former DG (NS &M) with lighting the lamp and prayer to the Maa Sarswati.

In welcome address, Shri R V Hara Prasad highlighted about the current science and technlogy work carried out by Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur. Dr. Kamat in his presidential address emphasized upon the need of cutting edge solutions as per changing nature of warfare scenario.
Chief Guest and orator of the function Prof Ajay Kumar Sood delivered 31st Prof Daulat Singh Kothari Memorial Oration on the topic “India @2023: S&T Opportunities and Challenges”. Prof Sood in his deliberation mentioned about the need of basic research in Indian Context. He motivated young researchers to take up the research work associated with quantum computing, sensing & detection and Artificial Intelligence based technologies. He also highlighted the requirement of sustained innovations in S&T for holistic growth of the nation. 

The function was organized under the chairmanship of Shri Ajay Singh Rathore, Associate Director and concluded with National Anthem and Vote of thanks by Dr. Ajay Jain, Technology Director.
