Grand Sant-Samagam and World Friendship Festival Celebrates Unity and Peace

A grand and historic Sant-Samagam and World Friendship Festival was successfully held at the Birla Matoshree Auditorium in Mumbai under the guidance of Revered Shri Devendra Brahmachari. The event featured a Chaturmas ceremony attended by revered monks from the entire Jain community, including distinguished representatives from the Digambar, Shwetambar, Terapanth, and Sthanakavasi sects.

Notable attendees included Muni Shri 108 Pranut Sagar Ji Maharaj, Acharya Shri Kalaprabhasagar Surishwar Ji, Acharya Shri Matichandrasagar Suri Ji, and Muni Shri Kuldeep Kumar Ji. Thousands of devotees benefited from their divine presence and blessings, gaining direction from their inspirational words.

Organized by the Mahavirayan Foundation, the festival gathered monks from various Jain sects dedicated to the principles of Lord Mahavir, where a collective commitment was made to promote world peace and mutual harmony.

The Chief Guest, His Excellency Governor of Kerala, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, emphasized in his address that peace in the world can only be achieved by embracing diverse cultures. He praised the thoughts and works of Revered Shri Devendra Brahmachari, highlighting their relevance in today's times.

Union Minister Shri Ramdas Athawale inspired everyone with his unique style, stating, "If you want to avoid war, embrace the teachings of Mahavir and Buddha."

Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Shri Rahul Narwekar asserted that true development is only possible when we advance with our cultural heritage. Maharashtra Minister Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Rajasthan Minister Shri Jhabbarsingh Kharra, and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Milind Deora also stressed the importance of following Lord Mahavir's principles for global peace.

The event's host, Revered Shri Devendra Brahmachari, called for unity among all sections of society and the world, urging everyone to walk the path of Lord Mahavir Swami.

During the ceremony, individuals who made notable contributions to society and the nation—such as Shri Ganpat Kothari, Shri Rakesh Kothari, Shri Uttam Bafna, Shri Manish Godha (Indore), Dr. Rahul Subodh Saho, Shri Uttam Shah, and Shri Prashant Jhaveri—were honored with the "Samaj Gaurav Samman."

Prominent figures, including renowned CA Shri K.C. Jain and Mrs. Manju Lodha, Chairperson of the Lodha Foundation, graced the event with their presence, along with other distinguished guests from Mumbai and across the country.

Special contributions to the success of the program were made by Shri Rakesh Nahar, Shri Prakash Chopra, Shri Shailesh Damodaria (Kishan) and team, Shri Urba Joshi, and Shri Yadav Pun. The event was effectively coordinated by Shri Lavkesh Jain.

This festival not only marked a historic occasion for the Jain community but also conveyed a significant message of peace, tolerance, and mutual harmony to the world.
