VC Shri Ajit Kumar Karnataka of Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University celebrated the completion of one year in his role as Vice-Chancellor. The event took place at the CTE Auditorium on Monday, where he addressed the gathering.
During his speech, Vice-Chancellor Karnataka emphasized the importance of teamwork for greater productivity. He mentioned that no matter how knowledgeable or accomplished one might be, working together as a team is essential for achieving success. He quoted, "Ek mukhtasar si vajah hai, mere jhuk kar milne ki... mitti ka bana hoon... gurur mujh par jachta nahi," highlighting the need for humility and collaboration.
He also discussed the achievements of the university over the past year and acknowledged the efforts of the university officials and staff, which have contributed to its success at the national level. The university's progress has been marked by the establishment of several colleges, research centers, and agricultural science centers in southern Rajasthan.
Vice-Chancellor Karnataka shared that the university had secured the first position under the "Smart Village Initiative" launched by the Honorable Governor, and praised the efforts of the faculties and students in making it a success. He also noted the university's accomplishments, such as the development of new varieties of crops and 8 patents acquired during the year, showcasing the research capabilities of the university.
The International Millet Year, awareness rallies, and workshops have been organized under the Millets program, emphasizing the importance of these crops. Vice-Chancellor Karnataka also highlighted the university's recognition on the national level, indicating that there would be more remarkable achievements in the future under his leadership.
The event was attended by notable guests, including the Vice-Chancellors of various universities, directors, senior scientists, and council members.
