Udaipur : Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has said that today India has emerged as a strong force in the global scenario. India's prestige has increased abroad. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is touching economic, strategic and cultural heights. It is the responsibility of every citizen to keep the spirit of Nation First.

Devnani said this during a press conference at the Udaipur Circuit House on Wednesday. He said that the environment of the House in the Assembly has been improved by decorating it in pink color. During this, Udaipur Rural MLA Shri Phool Singh Meena and social worker Gajpal Singh Rathore were also present.

The roots of democracy in the country are so deep that no one can harm democracy. It is clearly written in the constitution that if the central government passes a bill with a majority, then all the states have to accept it. This is the basis of the federal structure. In a democracy, everyone has the right to express their views, but questioning the autonomy of government agencies is not good for the country's democracy. The Wakf Bill has been passed by both the houses of the Parliament, despite this, questioning it is like questioning the basic spirit of the Constitution. The Supreme Court has also refused to ban the Wakf Bill. All political parties should have faith in the country's highest court and constitutional houses.

Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that many innovations have been done in the Rajasthan Assembly. For the first time, many innovations have been done in the assembly including paperless proceedings, providing iPads to the MLAs. Making the assembly paperless is beneficial for the environment as well as for good governance.  Artworks such as Maharana Pratap's bravery, tribal culture and constitutional values have been preserved in the visitors' gallery of the Vidhan Sabha. This is giving the new generation an opportunity to get acquainted with our precious heritage.

Devnani said that efforts have also been made to make the state executive accountable to the legislature. As a result, its positive results are also coming to the fore. Out of more than 10 thousand pending questions in the Vidhan Sabha, answers have come to 95 percent. Among these, about four and a half thousand questions were pending even from the 15th Vidhan Sabha. This has strengthened the concept of democracy and responsible governance towards the people.
