Bhopal : A significant meeting of the Apna Dal (S) Madhya Pradesh unit was recently held in Indore. The meeting was led by political strategist Dr. Atul Malikram, as per the instructions of the National Committee, and was attended by Dr. Akhilesh Patel, National General Secretary of the Youth Wing. District presidents and state office bearers from across the state also participated.

The main discussion at the meeting focused on the demand for the effective implementation of 27% reservation for the backward classes. Dr. Akhilesh Patel, advancing the request made by Apna Dal (S) National President and Union Minister Anupriya Patel, emphasized that "reservation for OBCs in government jobs and educational institutions should be strictly enforced."

Additionally, Dr. Patel raised the issue of implementing 27% reservation in the fourth category jobs in the private sector. He pointed out that many of these positions are filled through outsourcing, where reservation is often not followed. He urged the government to take concrete steps to safeguard the rights of the OBC community.

It is noteworthy that Apna Dal (S), the third-largest political party in Uttar Pradesh, is strengthening its presence in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting also dispelled rumors about the party's inactivity in the state. The party's National President, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, has been a vocal advocate for OBC reservation and social harmony. The party has raised several issues at both national and regional levels and has amplified the voice of the marginalized communities.
