New Delhi, February 11, 2025: The 8th New Delhi Film Festival (NDFF), organized by the JIFF Trust, is set to take place on February 22, 2025, at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
On Tuesday, the festival organizers announced the selected films for NDFF 2025. This year, 145 films from 20 countries have been nominated in the competition category. The top award-winning films will be announced at the India International Centre on February 22, 2025. On the same day, before the awards ceremony, a special screening of the Top 5 winning films will be organized.
A total of 145 films have been selected across various categories, showcasing a diverse range of storytelling and cinematic excellence. The Feature Fiction category includes 37 films, while 16 films have been nominated under Documentary Feature and 1 film in Animation Feature. The Short Fiction category features 51 films, alongside 13 Short Documentaries and 10 Short Animation films. Additionally, 3 films have been selected in the Mobile Short Film category, with 14 entries in the Screenplay segment and 10 Student Films, highlighting emerging talent in the industry.
Out of these 145 films, 72 are from India, while 73 are international selections, chosen from a total of 708 film submissions from 54 countries.
