Neha Bandyopadhyay Appointed as President of Navi Mumbai Jan Parishad Women's Cell

Fashion designer, painter, and social worker Mrs. Neha Bandyopadhyay, who is connected to Bengal, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra, has been appointed as the President of Navi Mumbai Jan Parishad Women's Cell. This appointment was made by the National President of Jan Parishad Women's Wing, Padma Shri Mrs. Sunil Dabas, on the recommendation of Former DGP Mr. N K Tripathi.

According to the organization's coordinator Ramji Srivastava, Jan Parishad is a national-level social organization that has been active in social and creative works for the past 36 years. The organization honors individuals every year who bring creative and social reform initiatives to the public.

Neha Bandyopadhyay is known in the Indian film industry as the adopted daughter of Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, the grandson of the father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. She has been awarded the 'The Great Indian Women Award 2021' and the 'Saraswatibai Dadasaheb Phalke International Iconic Award 2021' for her outstanding contributions to Madhubani painting and training underprivileged women and girls.

Neha has successfully expanded her fashion designing institute, increasing the number of students from 5 to nearly 400. She was also honored with the Lion Club Award for Textile Designing and the institute's development.

Neha holds degrees in MBA (Finance), M.Sc. in Textile Designing, and Bachelor of Education. She is also actively involved in promoting Indian folk art and supports hundreds of artists associated with Madhubani, Warli painting, and music as part of the core team at the International Indian Folk Gallery. Additionally, she participates in art festivals, craft fairs, and exhibitions related to both traditional and modern Indian art with a spirit of service, collaboration, and dedication.
