‘Token The Treasure’ Re-Released on OTT Platform

The much-talked-about comedy film ‘Token The Treasure’, directed by Dr. Ravikala Gupta, has been re-released on the Ultra Play OTT platform and is receiving immense love from audiences. Originally released in theatres in 2022, the film has now earned the title of the most popular film on the platform.

The lead role is played by Reewa Kishan, daughter of renowned actor Ravi Kishan. The film also features celebrated actors like Shruti Ulfat, Deepshikha, and a cameo by singer Anup Jalota. ‘Token The Treasure’ is a heartwarming comedy-drama woven around the dreams and struggles of a middle-class family, offering laughter and life lessons alike.

Following the OTT release, director Dr. Ravikala Gupta is back in the spotlight. She has been honored with a doctorate by the Central Christian University of America. Her short film ‘Celebrate Life’ received recognition at the 14th Global ‘Captain of the Ship’ Awards.

Dr. Ravikala has directed several acclaimed short films and advertisements, including ‘Celebrate Life’, ‘Aji Sunte Ho’, and ‘Coffee’. She has also directed commercials for major brands like Marshal Wallpaper and TVS Bikes.

Starting her journey as an actress, she has appeared in Manoj Kumar’s TV series ‘Kahan Gaye Woh Log’ and the Bhojpuri film ‘Hamar Dulha’. A Visharad in classical Bharatanatyam dance, Dr. Ravikala is currently working on a new script that will soon go into production.

She has supported her daughter Khushi Gupta in pursuing law and has also encouraged her interest in acting by offering her roles in her films. Dr. Ravikala believes in creating films inspired by real-life, political and social thrillers, and current affairs. She emphasizes that films are for entertainment and should not be mimicked in real life.

“Films can be a mirror of life, but not life itself,” she says. She also voices concern over today’s films misguiding the youth with misleading characters, dialogues, and visuals, calling for responsible filmmaking in modern times.
