World Health Day Celebrated at Geetanjali College of Nursing

Udaipur – World Health Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Geetanjali College and School of Nursing, Udaipur. The event was inaugurated by Dean Prof. (Dr.) Vijaya Ajmera by lighting the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati.

The program witnessed the presence of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Yogeshwar Puri Goswami, Administrative Officer Prof. Kamlesh Joshi, Academic Incharge Prof. Jayesh Patidar, all department heads, faculty members, and students.

Various competitions and sessions were organized on the occasion including expert talks, extempore speech, quiz, essay competition, and poster presentation.
Sessions were conducted by Prof. Indrajeet Singh Shaktawat (Child Health Nursing), Naresh Kumar (Gynecology), Piyush Kumar Jain (Medical Surgical), Harendra Gehlot (Mental Health), and Naresh Salvi (Community Health Nursing).

Dean Prof. (Dr.) Vijaya Ajmera encouraged students to lead a healthy life with a positive attitude, while Principal Dr. Yogeshwar Puri Goswami spoke on effective energy utilization for a healthy lifestyle.

Students also conducted a health awareness rally and campaign in nearby villages to promote healthy living.

In the closing ceremony, winners of various competitions were awarded:

• Essay Competition: Hetal Darji (1st), Suhani Patidar (2nd)

• Poster Presentation: Kanishka Joshi (1st), Komal Rawal (2nd)

• Extempore: Sheetal (1st), Anamika Meena (2nd)

• Quiz: Group B (Hitansh, Mahendra, Devendra) – 1st; Group E (Vikas, Sachin, Mukul) – 2nd

The stage was compered by Associate Professor Haribala Paliwal and Assistant Professor Vipin Tanwar.
