Boot Camp on Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship at GITS Udaipur

Udaipur – A Boot Camp on Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship - 2025 Edition 2 Phase-III was organized at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS), Dabok, Udaipur. This event was conducted under the joint aegis of the All India Council for Education (New Delhi) and the Ministry of Innovation Cell (Ministry of Education).

Among the 12 colleges selected across India, GITS was the only institution from Rajasthan to be chosen as a Nodal Center. The central-level inauguration of this program was conducted virtually by Professor T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE. The Boot Camp will be held from February 17 to February 21, 2025.

Dr. S.M. Prasanna, Director of GITS, highlighted that this five-day Boot Camp would provide students an opportunity to enhance their skills, foster innovation, and share knowledge. This initiative will not only aid in their personal development but will also benefit the students of GITS by providing them with a unique learning experience.

The program featured insightful sessions on Design Thinking, Agronomics, Pitching Skills, and Product Design. The esteemed speakers included:

  • Shri Deepan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, AICTE
  • Dr. Alwar Raman, Former Scientist, ISRO (Chief Guest)
  • Prof. Sheenu Jain, LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur (Wadhwani Master Trainer)
  • Dr. P.K. Jain, Director, MBA, GITS

The primary objective of this Boot Camp was to equip participants with essential skills and an innovative mindset to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment, contributing to the growth of a prosperous India.

Dr. Chintal Patel, the program coordinator, stated that 315 college students from 13 states across India participated in the event, presenting 71 innovative projects. This initiative provided an intensive and action-packed experiential learning opportunity for participants.

B.L. Jangid, Finance Controller at GITS, expressed that the Boot Camp offered students a platform to showcase their projects and discuss innovative ideas, fostering a collaborative learning environment. It also encouraged creativity and inspired students to find solutions to real-world problems. The success of this event is not just a milestone for GITS but a matter of pride for the entire Rajasthan state.

The event also saw the presence of Subrat Sahu (Startup Fellow) and all faculty members of GITS. This Boot Camp will open new avenues for students and provide them with a promising career direction.
