MB College Alumni Council Monthly Meet Concludes

Udaipur: The monthly reunion of the MB College Alumni Council was held at the Vivekananda Auditorium under the chairmanship of Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar. The event commenced with a Saraswati Vandana by Dr. Vimal Sharma, followed by Vipin Gupta presenting the report of the previous meeting, which was duly approved by the council.

In light of the college’s centenary celebrations, members were invited to share their memoirs for inclusion in the council’s souvenir. Responding to the call, Anil Bhatnagar, Gajendra Kawadia, Vimal Sharma, and Khubi Lal Singhvi shared nostalgic experiences from their student days, highlighting the supportive and encouraging nature of their teachers and staff. General Secretary Shantilal Bhandari expressed happiness over the growing participation and enthusiasm among members.

Dr. Kundan Lal Kothari was unanimously elected as the Chief Patron, filling the vacancy left by the late Heera Lal Kataria. Newly joined members Mahendra Kumar Jain and Indira Jain were welcomed with a ceremonial tilak and garland. Jain, an alumnus of the 1975 B.Com batch, later became a Chartered Accountant.

The event featured cultural performances, including a poem on the Kumbh festival by Shiv Ratan Tiwari, a dialogue on the Kedarnath tragedy by Arun Bhatnagar, a devotional song Dim Dim Dambaru Bajavat by Chandra Singh Jain, Nar Sharir Anmol Re Prani by Manju Kunawat, and Ek Prem Ki Ganga Bahti Hai by Sharda Maheshwari. Shantilal Jain recited a poem advocating for women's respect, while Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar entertained the audience with humorous anecdotes.

A two-minute silence was observed in memory of the members who had passed away in the previous month. The event concluded with the national anthem, followed by a fellowship dinner.
