Dr. Rekha Vyas Honored with Senior Scientist Award 2024 by the Home Science Association of India

Dr. Rekha Vyas, Emeritus Professor at Maharana Pratap Agriculture and Technology University, Udaipur, was conferred with the Senior Scientist Award 2024 by the Home Science Association of India. The prestigious award was presented during the 35th Biennial Conference held from January 17-19, 2024, at the Community Science College in Tura, Meghalaya, organized by the Central Agricultural University, Imphal.

This accolade recognizes Dr. Vyas's significant contributions to society through research. Her research presentation focused on "Unseen Perils in the Workplace: Health Risks and Musculoskeletal Disorders," offering insights into the workplace hazards faced by various professionals, including farmers, vegetable producers, dairy workers, construction laborers, tailors, weavers, and office employees. The study not only identified risks but also proposed techniques and measures for prevention.

The award ceremony, held in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, was facilitated by Ms. S. Phangnon Konyak, a member of the Nagaland Parliament. Dr. Vyas's outstanding work was acknowledged by the presence of presidents and other officials. The conference saw active participation from more than 400 delegates representing 27 states across the country.
