Udaipur - Dr. Shyam Sundar Sharma, the patron of Rajasthan Agricultural University, Udaipur, flagged off buses carrying fourth-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) students to participate in the Rural Agricultural Experience program. On this occasion, he advised the students to gain practical training in agriculture while living with farming families and to observe various traditional and advanced farming techniques, as well as livestock management.
Dr. Sharma also emphasized that during their time with the farming families, students would have the opportunity to learn about integrated agricultural techniques, traditional and advanced farming of various crops, and livestock management. He encouraged students to participate in the Rural Agricultural Experience program with integrity and assured that regular inspections would take place during this period.
Dr. S.S. Sisodiya, the coordinator of the Agricultural Experience Program, provided details about the program. A total of 99 male and 35 female students have been sent to various agricultural science centers in the districts of Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, and Vallabhnagar in Rajasthan for a period of 9 weeks. During this time, students will engage in dialogues with farmers and gain practical experience in the latest farming techniques.
Dr. Narayan Lal Meena and Dr. Chandraprakash Nama visited the students and faculty members and accompanied the students to the Agricultural Science Centers in Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Banswara, Dungarpur, and Vallabhnagar on the first day of the program.
