Udaipur, Free courses under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) were inaugurated today at the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI). Dr. Pawan Telesara, Honorary General Secretary of UCCI, informed that the inauguration ceremony was conducted by Shri B.H. Bapna, the Patron of UCCI and Chairman & Managing Director of Mewar Harmony Group.
During the opening session, Shri B.H. Bapna welcomed the first batch of participants in the PMKVY Skill Development Center and encouraged them to make the most of the training. He emphasized that UCCI is operating a Vocational Training Center (VTC) with the aim of providing skill development to the youth of the Udaipur region, facilitating their employment and supplying industries with skilled manpower. He mentioned that five different vocational trades would be offered under the program to train job-seeking youth in market-relevant skills.
VTC Chairman and Former President of UCCI, Shri Hansraj Choudhary, informed that the UCCI Vocational Training Center has been accredited by the Central Government under the PMKVY. Participants who successfully complete the training will be awarded certificates by the government, and UCCI's member industries will provide employment opportunities to the certified candidates.
Coordinator of the Vocational Training Center, Shri Yash Sharma, explained that the duration of these courses would range from two to three months, including both theoretical and practical training, along with 15 days of on-the-job training. He further mentioned that training programs related to Mining Mate, Mining Electrician, Food & Beverage Service, Fast Food Service, and Solar Panel Installation would be offered. Participants will be trained by highly qualified trainers in these fields. The free training courses for Mining Mate and Mining Electrician have already commenced, while registration for other trades is ongoing.
On this occasion, Senior Vice Presidents Shri Manish Galundia and Dr. Ashok Jetawat, along with other members, were also present.
