Shahpura, Mulchand Peswani
On the third day of the Shreemad Bhagwat Katha, organized at the Khaniya Balaji Temple complex in Shahpura, Jagatguru Paramhansacharya Swami Dayanand Saraswati discussed various inspiring episodes from the Shreemad Bhagwat. On this occasion, Shahpura District Collector Rajendra Singh Shekhawat also visited the site and sought Swamiji's blessings. The event organizer Bhawarlal Shambhulal Sen welcomed and honored the District Collector. Former Deputy Director of the Education Department, Tejpal Upadhyay, introduced Swamiji.
During the Katha, Swami Dayanand Saraswati emphasized that before visiting any place without an invitation, it is important to ensure that there is no possibility of insult. He referenced the story of Sati, explaining that ignoring Lord Shiva's advice led Sati to be insulted at her father’s house, which ultimately led to her self-sacrifice in the fire. This story teaches the importance of making the right decisions to protect self-respect and honor.
Swamiji shared the story of Dhruv from the lineage of Uttanpad, illustrating how Dhruv’s stepmother, Suruchi, behaved insultingly, but his mother, Suniti, did not lose patience. This patience saved the family from crisis. He highlighted that patience and self-control are crucial to maintaining peace in families and society. Through the story of Dhruv’s penance and his devotion to Lord Shri Hari, Swamiji emphasized the significance of devotion, noting that there is no age barrier for devotion. Encouraging devotion at a young age is ideal, as childhood is like soft clay.
Swamiji also discussed the story of Ajamila, pointing out that Shreemad Bhagwat mentions atonement as the best remedy for liberation from sin. In the detailed narration of Prahlad's character, Swamiji explained that Lord Narasimha emerging from a pillar symbolizes that God is present everywhere. Prahlad's unwavering faith and trust helped him overcome adversity.
During the event, District Collector Rajendra Singh Shekhawat referred to Shreemad Bhagwat as the Fifth Purana. He said that the essence of Dharma is universal truth, and Shreemad Bhagwat Gita presents that truth. The Collector stated that the Gita teaches us lessons in discipline, conduct, devotion, and love. He regarded saints as the highest guides in society, emphasizing that respecting them is everyone’s duty.
Collector Shekhawat further explained that while officials and rulers work within limited boundaries, saints play the role of guiding society towards the right direction. Their guidance elevates the moral and spiritual values of society. He urged everyone to internalize the universal truth of Dharma and spread positivity within society. The Collector concluded that the Shreemad Bhagwat Katha was not only a religious event but also an effort to promote social and ethical values. Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s inspiring words helped the listeners understand the importance of patience, devotion, and correct conduct in life.
