Inauguration of Indian Knowledge Tradition Centre on Gita Jayanti

At Shri Govind Guru Government College, the Indian Knowledge Tradition Centre was inaugurated on the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and under the direction of the Directorate of College Education. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Principal Prof. Kalyanmal Singada. The chief speaker for the event was Jyotishacharya Jayprakash Joshi. Other distinguished guests included Abhinandan Nimay, Gorangdas, Prof. Seema Bhupendra, and Prof. Kiran Poonia.

The program began with the lighting of lamps and a ritual by the dignitaries on stage. Prof. Rajesh Joshi, the District Nodal Officer for the Indian Knowledge Centre and In-charge of the Literary-Cultural Committee, delivered the subject presentation. He highlighted the eternal Indian knowledge tradition, describing the Bhagavad Gita as the foundational text of human duty and the ethical code for humanity.

Students present in the hall performed a musical recitation of the 12th chapter of the Gita, focusing on the welfare of living beings. The program began with young Nakul Vyasa reciting five verses from the Gita.

**Indian Astrology: A Science Based on Truth and Purity** - Jayprakash Joshi

Chief speaker Jayprakash Joshi clarified the difference between knowledge and information. He practically connected the concept of astrology with everyday life, making the topic engaging. He demonstrated the scientific basis behind traditions such as eclipses, tidal waves, darkness during childbirth, and the practice of offering rice. He also emphasized the relevance of ancient scriptures such as the Vedas and Upanishads.

Mr. Joshi explained that Indian astrology is a complete science based on truth and purity. While astronomical data and calculations are visible, predictive astrology (Phalit Jyotish) is invisible. He discussed how this science has evolved over thousands of years through continuous practice, purity, and research. He stated that astrology provides the light of insight, and that the solutions to all causes of death are hidden in the rays of the rising sun. Joshi noted that even ISRO and NASA continuously study the Vedas, underscoring the scientific nature of ancient Indian knowledge.

He further explained that modern science still falls short when compared to astrology. For instance, the Sun's theories existed thousands of years before the birth of Christ. Great scholars like Aryabhata, Bhaskaracharya, Brahmagupta, and Varahmihira advanced these astronomical theories, and Newton himself admitted the exceptional nature of Indian astrology.

He concluded by saying that even though modern science constantly evolves, the principles of astrology remain unchanged, proving its timeless and eternal nature.

Before the lecture, special guest Abhinandan Nimay spoke on the significance of the Gita Jayanti, stating that the Bhagavad Gita is a scripture that brings peace to the mind and offers the message of duty. ISKCON leader Gorangdas discussed the control of the mind and senses through the teachings of the Gita. Prof. Seema Bhupendra stressed the importance of respecting tradition.

The program was conducted by Dr. Lokendra Kumar, with gratitude expressed by Shri Prakash Kinkod. Faculty members of the college, including Prof. Anjana Rani, Associate Professor Ramraj Singh, Dr. Shafqat Rana, Prof. Ashish Kumar, Dr. Lakshman Sargada, Dr. Firoz Khan, Dr. Azra Parveen, Mrs. Leena, Dr. Neeraj, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Shri Kinshuk Sharma, Abhishek Singh, Murli Dhar Meena, Kuldeep Singh, Jitendra Kalal, Rohit Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Dr. Arpita, Deepti Kalal, Dr. Harshita, Dr. Parshuram Dangi, Dr. Sahedev Parik, Dr. Sachin Dixit, Dr. Sandeep Kumawat, Shubham Panchal, Jayanti Lal Sharma, and hundreds of students attended the event.
