Udaipur, The 103rd Foundation Day of Bhupal Nobles' Institution, Udaipur, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The Managing Director, Mohabbat Singh Rathore, informed that the celebrations commenced with Vedic rituals and havan offerings at the institution's historic Narbdeshwar Mahadev Temple. The event was formally inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address from Rathore, who highlighted the institution's achievements and called the day an auspicious one for taking new resolutions.
The Chief Guest, Acting President of the Institution, Colonel Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, in his address, emphasized contributing positively to the institution's development. He underscored that ancient centers of learning are a source of inspiration and spoke about the significance of innovation. Reflecting on the establishment of the institution 103 years ago, he recalled that literacy then stood at just 0.5%. Sarangdevot also remembered past pioneers like Maharana Mahendra Singhji and highlighted the importance of research and innovation for progress. He stressed fostering a scientific outlook within cultural traditions, maintaining environmental balance, and addressing challenges in the education sector. He urged collective efforts to advance the institution in line with the New Education Policy 2020, rooted in Indian knowledge traditions.
Bhanu Pratap Singh Jhilwara, Secretary of the Old Boys' Association, extended his greetings and shared details about activities undertaken by the association for the welfare of current students.
In his presidential address, the Institution’s Minister, Dr. Mahendra Singh Agariya, discussed the importance of blood donation and inspired attendees to follow the paths shown by their ancestors while guiding children toward righteous living. He remarked that knowledge brings strength and happiness.
Special Guests at the event included Lieutenant Colonel Manmohan Singh Rawat and Lieutenant Colonel Shailendra Singh Rathore, camp commandants of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp. Academic activities and future plans of the institution's various departments were presented by the deans of its units.
Under the joint aegis of the Old Boys' Association and Vidya Pracharini Sabha, a blood donation camp was organized, where 103 units of blood were collected. Blood donors were honored with certificates of appreciation.
The event also paid tribute to the institution's founders, Maharana Bhupal Singh Ji Mewar, Rao Mama Ji Maharaj Aman Singh Ralawta, Bahadur Raj Singh Ji Bedla, Thakur Guman Singh Ji Roopakhedi, and other visionaries like Thakur Ranbahadur Singh Chauhan and Thakur Swaroop Singh Ji Chundawat, with floral offerings at their statues.
The gathering concluded with a congregation of the institution’s family, students, staff, and management council members. Distinguished attendees included Vidya Pracharini Sabha’s Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh Tana, Registrar Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Rathore, and executive members Karan Singh Umri, Naval Singh Jood, Mahendra Singh Patiya, and Mahendra Singh Pakhand. Directors, principals, deans, and staff from all units of the institution were present at the ceremony.
