Udaipur : The meeting of the Academic Council of Bhupal Nobles University was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Colonel Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Chairperson of the University. The meeting focused on an in-depth discussion regarding the academic enhancement of the university. Various points were deliberated in the context of the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines and the National Education Policy. It was decided to formulate an action plan for the university’s NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) evaluation. Policy decisions were made on several key academic and university-related issues.
Chairperson Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, in his address, emphasized that the National Education Policy aims to prepare students with Indian values while also equipping them for a global context. He further highlighted that the policy provides students with the opportunity to study according to their preferences. "The university must be prepared on a global scale and should also encourage international students to study here," he added. He stressed that achieving quality education requires concerted efforts across all fronts.
President Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, in his address, motivated the faculty members to stay updated with contemporary teaching methods and emphasized the need for integrating technological tools in teaching. Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh Rathore, the University Secretary, shared details about various online courses and stated that students should be introduced to these courses for their overall personality development.
On this occasion, Rajendra Singh Tana, Joint Secretary of Vidya Pracharini Sabha, also expressed his views. Prior to this meeting, the University Research Board convened to discuss topics related to quality research, ethical research practices, and more. A research curriculum was developed in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was subsequently approved. Policy decisions were made to ensure that research is conducted with a focus on its social relevance.
The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Prem Singh Rawalot, Dean of PG Studies. The meeting was attended by the Controller of Examinations, Heads of various faculties, Directors, Department Heads, and other key stakeholders.
