Celebration of Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti at B.N. Agriculture and Postgraduate College with Cleanliness Drive

Udaipur : The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri were celebrated at B.N. Agriculture College and B.N. Postgraduate College, where staff and students offered floral tributes in a dignified and joyous atmosphere. 

On this occasion, Dean Dr. Dilip Singh presented a detailed lecture on the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to India's independence. He highlighted Gandhi's leadership in significant movements such as the Champaran Satyagraha, the Non-Cooperation Movement, the Dandi March, and the Quit India Movement. He urged everyone to follow the path of truth and non-violence as advocated by Gandhi to achieve their goals.

Dr. F.L. Sharma, Assistant Dean of Student Welfare, spoke about Shastri's dedication to the nation and his contributions to increasing food production in the country. Professor Dr. T. Hussain emphasized the importance of celebrating Cleanliness Fortnight and engaging in cleanliness activities daily. Ms. Preksha Nagar stressed the need to embody Shastri's slogan, "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan," in current times.

In the end, all staff and students participated in a cleanliness drive in the premises of Bhupal Nobles Agriculture College. During her address at Bhupal Nobles Postgraduate College, Dean Dr. Renu Rathore stated that the lives of Gandhi and Shastri inspire us to uphold truth, non-violence, goodwill, and peace. Their lives serve as a source of inspiration, delivering meaningful messages of forgiveness, love, tolerance, and cleanliness.

Shastri consistently encouraged the principles of mutual affection and urged people to eliminate discord and enmity. Their teachings emphasize financial discipline, saving, and the relevance of investment. 

Also present were Deputy Dean Ritu Tomar and all faculty members. University Chairperson Colonel Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, KCF Secretary Dr. Mahendra Singh Agarwal, Managing Director Mohabbat Singh Rathore, and University Registrar Dr. Niranjan Narayan Singh conveyed their best wishes, emphasizing that the ideas of Gandhi and Shastri inspire us to first change ourselves to bring about change in the world, prioritizing qualities such as compassion, peace, non-violence, and kindness in our lives. They encouraged everyone to persistently strive towards their goals and maintain a strong inner spirit.
