Renowned Pharmacy Professor J.S. Dangi Cremated

Udaipur,Dr. Jawahar Singh Dangi, a towering figure in Rajasthan’s pharmacy education, merged with the five elements on December 21, leaving an indelible legacy. Dr. Dangi, who played a pivotal role in establishing private pharmacy education at B.N. College in 1984, served as the principal for 25 years, shaping the careers of countless students.

Dr. Mahendra Singh Agariya, Secretary of B.N. Institute, highlighted Dr. Dangi's contributions, recalling the prestigious 5th Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI) National Seminar organized under his leadership. He was a member of esteemed organizations such as the Pharmacy Council of India, IPGA, AICTE, and GPAT.

The institute's Executive President, Colonel Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, and Managing Director, Mohabbat Singh Rathore, expressed their condolences, acknowledging that Dr. Dangi's students have excelled in various fields across India and abroad. His mentees hold significant positions in renowned pharmaceutical companies, educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and marketing sectors.

A Guiding Light in Education and Research

Dr. Dangi mentored over 50 doctoral and M.Pharm students and participated in more than 30 national and international seminars. He successfully executed projects worth over ₹1.5 crore. Rajasthan’s Drug Controller, Ajay Phatak, credited Dr. Dangi’s guidance for his own professional achievements.

From Canada, Dr. Naveen Vaya, Director of a pharma research company, paid heartfelt tribute, emphasizing Dr. Dangi’s global impact.

A Legacy of Positivity and Resilience

BN University Registrar Dr. N.N. Singh Rathore and Pharmacy Dean Dr. Yuvraj Singh Sarangdevot recalled Dr. Dangi’s visit to Udaipur last year, where he shared cherished memories of his tenure. A cancer survivor, Dr. Dangi faced life’s challenges with remarkable positivity.

Dr. Dangi retired as Dean of Pharmacy from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, and hailed from Chirai village in Deori, Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, where he was cremated. He pursued higher education at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. Both his sons hold prominent positions in the pharmacy sector.
